CL Sprint

Uninterrupted section of the chain lake trail, direction heading from Halifax area towards Timberlea. Avoid trying at busy times (weekends and lunch hour during the week) you can still attempt however it will be difficult weaving through people.

For me this KOM is out of reach, however I feel as though a top 10 is possible with serious VO2Max training.

How to ride it

  • Where it startsChain of Lakes Just past Dunbrack (heading west)
  • Where to launchanywhere on chain of lakes
  • Best windEasterly (This route you are travelling west)
  • Watch forPedestrians

You really have to know your best power over 2-4 minutes here and work your way backwards to see how fast you can come out of the gate as to fast and you will be dying about half way through this, it is a very gradual incline and not a hard segment at all (besides the fact it is an all out VO2Max effort). There is nothing technical about it besides any pedestrians you may have to weave through.
